I did this activity with my students today at school and it went so well I decided to bring it home and let Maddie try it. We took a bunch of old crayons, peeled off the paper, and broke them into small pieces. Next, we placed them in a heart-shaped baking pan, baked in the oven for 10 minutes and ended up with a nice little surprise. Maddie did great with the whole thing. There was very little mess and these will make great Valentine's treats for all her friends at daycare.
