Our adventure began around 1:30 this afternoon. Maddie had just woken up from her afternoon nap and we decided we would spend some time outside enjoying our Alligator Slip-n-Slide Pool!! We put on our swimsuits, lathered on the sunscreen, grabbed our towels and headed out the door. We reached the front steps and Maddie immediately started giggling when she saw the pool! We head off down the sidewalk and were suddenly startled by........
...this lovely creature!!!
Mommy panicked, made a mad dash back to the porch, stared blankly at this lovely creature, and aimlessly walked back and forth trying to figure out what to do!! I just wanted it out of the yard but it was not moving. Trying to figure out how to hold Maddie, keep Cody from getting bit, and getting rid of this thing was way to complicated!
Sooooo.......Maddie and I take our positions on the front porch, grab the phone to call Daddy, and sit and wait until he comes home from work to our rescue!
Within 10 minutes Daddy saved the day, took care of this creature for us, and we were off to enjoying our day at the pool!!
Wow......I hope the rest of our summer adventures are a little more pleasant!
In the end, we enjoyed a beautiful afternoon in the sun!
